Modeling Rice Production in West Java by Means Geographically Weighted Regression

نویسندگان

چکیده

In Indonesia, rice production varies from province to province, resulting in both large and small disparities between provinces. East Java, Central Java West Provinces have the highest production. contrast however, total consumption per year is highest. linear regression, coefficients are same for all regions, while each region sometimes has different influencing factors, spatial diversity. Consequently, Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) method was used model of Provincial regencies/municipalities by accounting heterogeneity. The GWR employs fixed bi-square kernel function as its weighting function. This includes five explanatory variables, such number agricultural labor, seed, two-wheel tractor, water pump, farmer groups, with response variable. greater coefficient determination (96.8 percent) smaller AIC values (920.76) than global regression. During period 2018-2020, tractors pumps had greatest impact on two-wheeled groups variables an effect most Java. There 11 areas which similarity significant predictor variables.

C.5 Geographically Weighted Regression

Geographically weighted regression (GWR) was introduced to the geography literature by Brunsdon et al. (1996) to study the potential for relationships in a regression model to vary in geographical space, or what is termed parametric nonstationarity. GWR is based on the non-parametric technique of locally weighted regression developed in statistics for curve-fitting and smoothing applications, w...

Modeling church services supply and performance, using geographically weighted regression

The objective of this study is to develop a multiple linear regression model that measures the relationship between the church services supply and the attendance to the services in the Uppsala diocese, Church of Sweden. By reviewing previous models and examining the nature of data available, two research questions were introduced, namely, the problem of omitted variables and the problem of spat...

A comparison of least squares regression and geographically weighted regression modeling of West Nile virus risk based on environmental parameters

BACKGROUND The primary aim of the study reported here was to determine the effectiveness of utilizing local spatial variations in environmental data to uncover the statistical relationships between West Nile Virus (WNV) risk and environmental factors. Because least squares regression methods do not account for spatial autocorrelation and non-stationarity of the type of spatial data analyzed for...

Assessing the road safety impacts of a teleworking policy by means of geographically weighted regression method

Travel demand management (TDM) consists of a variety of policy measures that affect the effectiveness of transportation systems by changing travel behavior. The primary objective of such TDM strategies is not to improve traffic safety, although their impact on traffic safety should not be neglected. The main purpose of this study is to simulate the traffic safety impact of conducting a telework...
